Course
Objective
Geared for developers or administrators who need to learn Perl for a variety of functions, this comprehensive hands-on workshop leads the student from the basics of writing and running Perl scripts to more advanced features such as file operations, report writing, the use of regular expressions, working with binary data files, debugging techniques and writing CGI scripts for web servers.
This three day course is approximately 50% hands-on, 50% lecture oriented. Detailed practical coding exercises, combined with a series of group and individual script-writing exercises reinforce concepts introduced throughout the workshop. Progressive labs are presented in a "building block" fashion, building on previous scripts to reinforce previously assimilated material.
